Healthcare Resolutions Limited Compliance Statement

How we Propose to Collect and Use your Data

Please read through this statement regarding how Healthcare Resolutions Ltd will collect and use your data.

Data Protection law and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) states that we are permitted to use personal or personal sensitive information if we have a legitimate and lawful reason to do so. This includes sharing it outside of Healthcare Resolutions Ltd with our partners and other 3rd Parties.

The law states we must have one or more of these reasons:

  • Performance of a Contract: The data processing activity is necessary to enter or perform a contract with you.
  • When it is our Legal Duty: The processing activity is necessary for a legal obligation, such as an information security, employment, or consumer transaction law.
  • When it is in our Legitimate Interest: This is a processing activity that one would normally expect from an organisation that it gives its personal data to do, like marketing activities and fraud prevention. If legitimate interest is used as a legal basis for processing, we will undertake a balancing test: is this processing activity necessary for the organisation to function? Does the processing activity outweigh any risks to a data subject’s rights and freedoms?  If the answer to either of those questions is “no,” then we will not use legitimate interest as its legal basis for processing.
  • When you Consent to it: you have given permission for us to process personal or personal sensitive data for one or more processing activities. Consent must be freely given, clear, and easy to withdraw.
  • Vital Interest: A rare processing activity that could be required to save someone’s life. This is most commonly seen in emergency medical care situations.
  • Public Interest: A processing activity that would occur by a government entity or an organization acting on behalf of a government entity.

Other than for the purposes of procuring a contract for insurance (health or protection), Healthcare Resolutions Ltd will collect data and subsequently process your data to secure such a contract and will only share this information with insurance providers.

Your data will not be shared with any other third party. We will keep your data safe and private. We will not sell your data or freely confirm your data to third parties.

The law and other regulations such as GDPR treat some types of personal information as sensitive or special. This includes information about racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, trade union membership, health data, and criminal records. We will not collect or use these types of data without your consent unless the law allows us to do so. If we do, it will only be when it is necessary:

  • For reasons of substantial public interest, or
  • To establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
